The waves are waiting

The ocean is waiting.
I'm off to the coast tomorrow, to watch the waves, breathe the fresh air, and let go of trying to do the impossible.
My computer is going to hospital over the weekend, for a transplant that will end up making it just like new (so I'm told).
And so I'm going off line, to a zone before the age of the compulsive screens, to a zone where the lazy horizon seems to stretch forever.
I'm taking with me a very solid book, The Hare with Amber Eyes, a book about former times, and I'll walk, and plant and read.
And drift with the tides.
Into another time zone.
Until Monday, when I welcome back the invalid, and together we will find our way back into the modern age.
See you later.

Acceptance, surrender and sanctuary sounds like therapeutic healing Juliet.

Enjoy your weekend.

I hope you have a lovely weekend. It sounds perfect. Love the beach image. I sure do hope your computer comes back like brand new - mine needs that kind of hospital visit as well xx

Max, that's so right, a long view and a good book are just what I need. I don't even care if it rains.

Lynley, what beautiful words. Thank you, I'm looking forward to it.

Charlie, yes, both my computer and me need refreshing! Hope yours can have the treatment it needs too.

Thank you Max, Lynley and Charlie for your good wishes.

Hi Juliet .. I do hope your computer is 'brand new' and happy in its Seasonal Inspiration work ..

That you too have a great weekend -the book sounds interesting ...and there's obviously plenty of exercise to be had - useful and relaxing using different skills ..

Enjoy yourself .. cheers Hilary

Have a wonderful relaxing weekend - a walk along the beach to the cave will smooth away all the frustrations of the computer world. The book is just right for such a weekend, an absorbing tale beautifully written which I read in two sittings. Edmund de Val's pots are exquisite too - a truly gifted man.

Hilary, nice to see you back just before I take off. Thank you.

Anne, great to see you too! You know the beach, and you know the book. I'm in for a good time.

Dear Juliet, Here is hoping that by the time you read this you will have had hours and hours of pleasure reading your book, regenerating your spirit, relaxing, and all those things we need from time to time - and that your computer will mend and your editing will then get done. Sometimes, it seems, we all need to be unplugged.

HI Juliet
I love the idea - and image - of the ocean waiting.
Hope your time away from technology was replenishing and that, when reunited, you find your comp. in fine fettle. ; )

Penny, thank you. I've just come back on line, and was wonderfully replenished. Being unplugged is a good thing to do.

Claire, thank you for visiting. The computer is working, but I've lost all my mail contacts!

Thank you Hilary, for this and your other comments on previous blogs. Good to have your email again. I now find that I've lost all my photos, and iphoto has gone from my computer, so can't do new posts with images!
I hope things are going well for you, and I'll catch up soon.
