Kawakawa is coming into flower, putting up its little green candles. Underneath, jonquils stand tall, breathing out heavenly fragrance. Snowdrops are displaying their little white skirts.
I perk up. I am starting to believe in spring.
It's such a wonderful time of the year - we have had the beauty of winter and now we are experiencing the promise of spring. I have enjoyed being out and about observing this subtle change.
Lovely pictures and I will now forever think of snowdrops, the earliest of flowers we see at the end of winter here, as displaying little white skirts, which is, of course, a perfect description of them, Juliet.
