Spring was warming up a couple of weeks ago, and so I took the heavy brown woollen blanket off the bed. Instead of putting it away, I left it out, for the little one was coming to visit.
As soon as she saw it, she said, 'I could use that to make a hut!'
'That's exactly what I was thinking', I replied. 'We had the same thought.'
'Sometimes, when people love each other a lot, they have the same thought,' I continued.
'Mummy and Daddy have the same thought sometimes.'
'And then I have the same thought as them!'
There is no shortage of love in the little one's life.
With whom do you have the same thought?

That's lovely. It's wonderful that she realises her parents sometimes have the same thoughts. I've been thinking of taking the doona off our bed but the weather keeps fluctuating in temperature greatly. High 30's today but we're expecting 19 tomorrow! xx
* Charlie, thank you. Our temperatures keep changing abruptly too. What a changeable spring it is.
Wonderful post, Julliet, and wonderful thoughts you two share. Tom and I often have the same thoughts, and I'm finding our Kezzie and I do at times now, too.
Penny, I thought you would know what I was talking about. How lovely to have this happening with your dear Kezzie. Thank you.
A big blanket can make a wonderful hut or a fort.....and then be a place to have a snack or a meal in. A time honoured game.
We can have synchronised thoughts at home here too...
I wonder if twins and other multiple birth children have many, many shared thoughts?
Lynley, I remember making huts out of a clothes horse and blankets when I was a child. I'm sure twins have many shared thoughts; you are right.
