Imagine . . .
Imagine if . . .
at this time of year,
for every person who is speeding up,
and behaving erratically . . .
there is someone who is
to the still centre
and taking special care.
Imagine what the lead up
to summer solstice/winter solstice/Xmas
would then be like.
Just imagine. . .
Could that someone be you?
Amazing synchronicity. I just scheduled a post for 12 am -- two hours from now -- then saw your comment on my blog and come here to catch up with you.
This was the last bit of my post:
"These pictures are from Tuesday when, towards four or five, I looked up from a welter of wrapping paper and cards to see a bit of a light show going on. The sun was almost behind our mountain and clouds were dodging about, giving a kind of spotlight effect to these last rays, lighting up first one area, then another for a magical few minutes.
It was a reminder, I think, to take time -- even in the midst of holiday busy-ness -- to look up, to breathe deeply, to enjoy the day before it's gone entirely."
A most blessed Soltice/Christmas/ Holiday to you, Juliet!
Vicki, how wonderful, this synchronicity! Yes, here we are in different parts of the world, both breathing deeply and appreciating what we have, in the midst of all the busyness. Thank you.
Lovely photos of flowers!
Happy holidays Juliet and a Merry Christmas!
Nadezka, these are our summer flowers: pohutukawa (our crimson flowering Christmas tree) and renga renga lilies. Thank you, and Merry Christmas to you too.
Hi Juliet - many more of us need to take time out and do exactly as you suggest ... be into ourselves ... and be there for others, as well as remembering our own balance for life to renew ...
Have a very happy peaceful switched away from the machine! time .. enjoy your ending of Spring as Summer starts to take hold ..
Happy Christmas and New Year .. cheers Hilary
Hilary, I hope you can take some time out as well. Thank you, and a Happy Christmas to you too.
Thank you, Juliet (and for your other season's blessings as well, which came through). All so very peaceful, beautiful, and awe-inspiring. Many blessings to you and your family as you begin your holiday.
Thank you Penny. the sun is shining at last after many days of rain and wind, so it feels like a good day to be leaving. Happy Christmas to you.
Beautiful words and thanks for the warm wishes for Christmas. I think you know me well enough to know that as much as I would like to be that slowing-down, thinking calm thoughts, type of person, I'm instead, FRANTIC! Boxing Day will be my day of peace! xx
Thanks Charlie, hope your dramas are all little ones this year. Enjoy Boxing Day!
The moment I saw the two pictures, my heart sang! Today Antonia flew in to join us for Christmas so we are a happy family unit again. Have a joyful time at the bach - I can close my eyes and walk along the beach with you so easily. Wonderful.
Anne, that's wonderful to have the family together for Christmas. The pohutukawas are really outstanding this year, with rich crimson blossoms everywhere I look. Keep closing your eyes - & I'll walk the beach with you.
